Norwood Town Employees  Federal Credit Union

This credit union was started in 1965, and was the idea of a few Town Employees, who had the foresight
to know that this would be a valuable benefit to the town employees.  People like Joe Flynn, Pat Palie, Henry Cronin,
Frank Walsh, Bob Bodge, Bob Ivatts,who  were instrumental in taking their ideas and putting them into practice.
  In the early years, in order to secure a loan, it was necessary to be put on a waiting list the;
reason being to wait for enough funds to come in order to fund the loans.  Now, fifty years later,
we are an organization with over $6.5 million dollars in assets, and over $2.5 million in loans.
Over the years, it has always been the objective of the Board of Directors, and the staff of this Credit Union
to always strive to better serve the members,  pay the highest savings interest, and structure loans that will be affordable,
helpful  and in the best interest of our members. We feel that we have accomplished this goal,
and look forward to a continuance of serving our members with our highest standards,
and to being here to serve our members when the need arises. We wish to thank our members past and present,
who have succeeded in making the Norwood Employees’ Federal Credit Union the success that it has become
over the last 57 years. And so we take another step in the advancement of this Credit Union by the utilization of  this website,
to better accommodate and serve our members.  From waiting lists for loans, to immediate contact
via website to this Credit Union, we have come a long way in 57 years!
